I Hate Being Sick!!

Wednesday night I came home from dinner with my parents after a long day of meetings and working at the Shop in Buda. I sat down on the couch to veg and watch TV. In the middle of some made-for-TV movie my stomach started to hurt. Then I started to get really uncomfortable and nauseous. About 30 mins later I was in the bathroom throwing up everything I had eaten that day. I called my mom to see if she was feeling bad because we had, had lunch and dinner together. She said she was fine so I knew it wasn't food poisoning. I called Ehran to see if he could come home early from work and go by the store to get gatorade, ginger ale, and saltine crackers. Thankfully they let him go and he made it home before 11pm. Then the rest of the symptoms started, fever, fatigue, body aches, head ache, and the big "D". I will spare you the details on that one.

Ehran slept in the guest bedroom that night and the next morning my mom brought me some jello cups and more gatorade. I went in to tell him that mom had come by and he was burning up! I checked his temp and it was 100.4. Great! So we both called into to work for that night. He never got as sick as I did except for his temp which ended up spiking at 101 Thursday night.

By today we are feeling better. Ehran decided that since he didn't have anymore fever he would go into work but I was still not feeling 100% so I called in again. Just cleaning the bathroom wore me out and I had to lay down. Hopefully I will feeling well enough to go in to work tomorrow night, I would hate to call in 3 nights in a row.

This is the 3rd time in less than a year that I have had a really "knock me on my butt" viral infection. I know it has a lot to do with me not getting enough sleep. I'm not sure what to do about my position at work, but getting sick like this so often is really burning me out even more. Just gotta keep praying for a slot to open up on days. I guess I will try to talk to my supervisor again this week.

  1. I hope you're feeling better by today. Sounds dreadful. I'll say a prayer for you so that you'll be able to get that day shift. Take care and keep drinking a lot of fluids!
